The cage can easily snap in and be quickly removed from its 15mm LW base by pressing the release button at the rear of the mount for handheld shooting. The cage is connected to its base via the new SHAPE Quick Release Rod Base System using a specifically designed 15mm rod bloc system for the optical center of the Sony A7R III camera. It allows quick mounting and dismounting of the camera.
