OVERVIEW
Built for cinema production, broadcast TV, documentaries, and field recording, the Saramonic SG-MIC is a professional, weather-sealed supercardioid shotgun microphone. Its tight directional pickup isolates your sound source while effectively blocking off-axis noise. A heavy-duty brass housing, gold-plated XLR connection, and an upgraded 0.59" (15mm) diaphragm ensure reliable performance on demanding shoots.
Rich, Full-Spectrum Sound
Engineered with a 15mm capsule, the mic delivers warm, high-fidelity audio with full bass response across a 20 Hz to 20 kHz range. High sensitivity (-37 dB) picks up delicate nuances without needing excessive preamp gain, producing clear dialogue and detailed ambient audio.
Quiet Operation & High Volume Tolerance
Low-noise internal circuitry and an 80 dB signal-to-noise ratio keep self-noise to a minimum. Capable of enduring peak volumes up to 128 dB SPL, it captures extreme dynamics—from faint whispers to loud explosions—without distortion or clipping.
All-Weather Reliability
A sealed, moisture-resistant design ensures stable operation in high humidity and extreme temperatures (-4°F to 122°F). The solid brass chassis reduces handling noise, dampens body resonance, and shields against RF/EMI interference, while gold-plated contacts preserve signal purity.
Complete Ready-to-Shoot Kit
Out of the box, the SG-MIC comes with a rugged hard case, foam windscreen, mic clip with 3/8" adapter, 2-foot XLR cable, and a zippered storage pouch.
