Overview

The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100 mm f/4 IS PRO Lens is the ideal camera equipment for almost any photography session. This lens has an extensive zoom range of 24-200 mm, which is equivalent to a 35-mm focal length. The 17-elements-in-11-group construction offers an excellent resolution. The lens has a circular 7-blade diaphragm and an aperture range of f/22-f/4, and a viewing angle of 84°-12°. The image stabilization for 5-Axis Sync IS feature of this lens prevents camera shakes and is useful when paired with an Olympus OM-D or PEN camera.

Elements / Groups: 17 / 11
Elements / Groups:
The individual pieces of glass that form the overall optical construction. Most lenses have between four and eleven elements to bend the light rays to ensure a perfectly formed image appears on the light sensitive surface, such as a film or CCD. The elements are arranged in groups and may be seen in specification sheets as, for example, 6 elements in 4 groups. That configuration may have two single elements and the other four grouped in pairs.
