The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70–200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Lens 100th Anniversary Edition is suitable for sports and nature photography. It is to be used with Nikon cameras having the F mount. The lens has 22 optical elements arranged in 18 groups that include 6 extra-low dispersion elements, 1 fluorite element, and 1 HRI element. Nano crystal and fluorine coats are applied on the lens elements to reduce ghosting and lens flare. The nine-blade diaphragm ensures a smooth bokeh effect on images. This lens provides quick yet near-quiet autofocusing with its silent-wave AF motor. VR (Vibration Reduction) image stabilization is also incorporated into the lens design to reduce camera shakes when shooting handheld. The body of the lens is made of magnesium alloy, and all the parts are sealed for convenient working in inclement weather.
