The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR Lens is a versatile yet durable telephoto lens built for sports and wildlife photography. Made for Nikon FX and 35mm SLR cameras, the lens has 19 optical elements in 11 groups. The inclusion of Phase Fresnel elements and Extra-low Dispersion elements ensure reduced chromatic and spherical aberrations. Both nano-crystal and super integrated coatings are applied to the elements to minimize ghosting and flare. Also, the front element has a fluorine coat that makes it easy to clean dust, moisture, and fingerprints off it. Shift between different focus points while maintaining your silent profile by enabling the silent wave motor AF system. The A/M mode allows you to override the autofocus at any point manually. With the Vibration Reduction IS, the lens cuts down the effects of camera shakes. The electromagnetic diaphragm ensures accurate exposure metering during continuous shooting. Moreover, the 9 diaphragm blades produce rounded bokeh in the background. The durable lens barrel is complemented by weather seals to protect the internal parts from dust and moisture.
