The DJI Mavic Air gives a professional edge to your video projects. The camera captures 4K videos and 12 MP stills by using the 1.2/3- inch CMOS sensor. Optics and Focus
The DJI Mavic Air comes with a 12 MP camera that has a 35mm equivalent focal length and f/2.8 aperture. Its minimum focus range is fixed at 50 cm. The ActiveTrack feature of Mavic Air recognizes up to 16 subjects simultaneously that can be selected manually for tracking. Both photo and video modes have their ISO range automatically adjusted from 100–1600, but the prior's ISO range can extend to 3200 in manual mode. The camera has an electronic shutter with maximum speed of 1/8000th of a second that makes the subject movement crisp and clear.
Sensor and Screen
The integrated primary camera of the Mavic Air takes videos and images by using the 1.2/3- inch CMOS sensor. A remote controller is provided with the quadcopter, which has a built-in holder to attach smartphones that are 160mm wide and 8.48mm thick. Pair the smartphone with the Mavic Air via DJI Go 4 app to use the flight and camera controls.
Image and Video
The DJI Mavic Air offers 4K video capture at a frame rate of 30 fps. Also, it can shoot Full HD 1080p videos at 120 fps for the slow-motion effect. The improved HDR algorithm adjusts the exposure according to the scene lighting. You can take vertical, horizontal, and 180° panoramas with this quadcopter. Moreover, the Mavic Air links 25 pictures together in eight seconds to make a 32 MP spherical panorama. The primary camera offers a maximum photo resolution of 4056×2280 dpi in with a 16:9 aspect ratio. There are also four photo capture modes namely, Auto-Exposure Bracketing (AEB), Burst Shooting, Interval, and Single Shot, from which you can choose the appropriate one.
Other Features
DJI Mavic Air's primary camera has a 3-axis gimbal attached to it, which reduces the angular vibration down to 0.005°. Its dampeners also bring down the shakes created by the drone rotors. The QuickShot feature has 6 different flight paths set for the drone, each of these creates a unique dramatic effect. Use your hand gestures to enable the SmartCapture function of the drone to take selfies.
