Michael Downey takes you on a historical photo tour following the Freedom Trail. Learn the history as you capture the beautiful landmarks of Boston.
Michael Downey will teach a class on landscape and story telling photography. Then we will walk the self paced trail.
The Trail takes us to 16 historical sites in the course of two or three hours and covers two and a half centuries of America's most significant past. A red brick or painted line connects the sites on the Trail and serves as a guide.
Since the past and the present live alongside the Trail, we have the opportunity to see the City as it truly is. Many visitors prefer to linger and study the many exhibits, thus a full day will be devoted to browsing along the Trail.
Later there will be a compassionate review of the work. This excursion isn't very formal but very fun. I hope to see you all there.
The Freedom Trail Includes:
The Bostom Common, The State House, Park Street Church, Granary Burying Ground, King's Chapel, King's Chapel Burying Ground, Benjamin Franklin Statue, Old Corner Book Store, Old South Meeting House, Old State House, Site of the Bostom Massacre, Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere House, The Old North Church, Copp's Hill Burying Ground, Bunker Hill Monument, USS Constitution among other areas to see.
Later there will be a compassionate review of the work. This excursion isn't very formal but very fun!
On Sunday, September 30 at around 6:00 in the morning we will enjoy a hot air balloon ride with High 5 Ballooning, New England's premier hot air balloon ride company.
From the thrill of lift off to the last bite of our delicious post-flight picnic, we will be treated to an experience that will leave you with a memory that will last a lifetime. Float through the sky on an aerial adventure and see breathtaking views of the White Mountains, Atlantic Ocean, Boston's skyline and the beautiful Merrimack River Valley.
Photograph nature's wildlife from a lofty perspective. As you float above the trees, you'll be close enough to
pluck a pinecone or leaf as a souvenir of your flight.
At the conclusion of our morning flights we can sit down, relax and sip champagne mimosas as they prepare a delicious complimentary picnic. This excursion isn't very formal but very fun. It's casual and easy paced. Feel free to bring another even if they aren't going up in the balloon. Non riding attendees may come at a reduced rate.

Preserved and dedicated by the citizens of Boston in 1958, when the wrecking ball threatened, the Freedom Trail today is a unique collection of museums, churches, meeting houses, burying grounds, parks, a ship, and historic markers that tell the story of the American Revolution and beyond. There is no other place in the United States where you can take in the rich history of Americas Revolution the events that led up to the historic break from Britain and the brave people who shaped our national government.""<br> - http://www.thefreedomtrail.org</p> |
