Overview
The Canon EOS M200 Mirrorless Digital Camera With 15-45mm Lens Kit (Black) is designed to combine a variety of options for shooting, with a sleek & compact design, to have a great shooting experience, every day. The EOS M200 is designed to produce high-resolution stills, while working in various lighting conditions, & offers several different video functions, such as 4K time-lapse, vertical video, & other functions that enable the ability to release your creative flow.
Optics & Focus
Optics:
The Canon EOS M200 comes with the Canon EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM Lens, which is designed to provide a 24-72mm equivalent focal length range, & includes three aspherical elements, as well as an optical image stabilizer. The lens elements are applied to control chromatic aberrations & distortions, throughout the zoom range. The lens placement is precisely chosen, to reduce flare & ghosting while shooting. The EOS M200's Optical Image Stabilizer minimizes the appearance of camera shake, by up to 3.5 stops, to provide a sharper handheld-shooting experience. An STM Stepping Motor is featured to provide a fast, near-silent, autofocusing performance.
Focus:
The Canon EOS M200 Mirrorless Digital Camera features a Dual Pixel CMOS AF System, which is designed to offer a smooth, & fast focusing performance, like that of a camcorder. By integrating two separate photodiodes, within each pixel, an extensive & dense network of phase-detection points (143-Points) are created across the majority of the image sensor. The amount of coverage across the sensor provides increased, direct control over your focus placement.
When shooting stills, the EOS M200 allows you to shoot & track subjects, in a fast & accurate manner, so that critical focus is achieved in each shot. An Eye Detection function is featured for portraiture, which helps prioritize your focus on a person's eye, for definite sharpness. Movie Servo AF mode is included for movie recording, & offers smooth and natural focusing, even while changing subjects, or distances. Movie Servo AF is able to specifiy AF speed, tracking sensitivity, & face tracking priority. Subject-tracking in movies is heightened, due to the Dual Pixel AF System's ability to recognize subjects, while maintaining focus (even within cluttered scenery). Rack focus is possible, thanks to the Touch AF system, which allows you to simply touch elements on the touchscreen to change focus.
Sensor & Screen:
Sensor:
The Canon EOS M200 Mirrorless Digital Camera features a 24.1 Megapixel Sensor, as well as a DIGIC 8 Image Processor, which work together to provide high camera sensitivity, & fast performance, for both stills & video applications. The M200 features a flexible 100-25600 sensitivity range, which makes it suitable for working in a variety of lighting conditions. The DIGIC 8 Image Processor minimizes noise, & features an Auto Lighting Optimizer, to provide notable clarity in a variety of shooting conditions. The processor enables a 6.1 fps continuous shooting rate, a fast camera startup, & short interval time between frames, for a more efficient experience. Slow motion recording is also available (see "Image & Video" section).
Screen:
A large 3.0" tilting LCD touchscreen is featured on the EOS M200, to provide a user-friendly method for controlling focusing points, navigating menus, & reviewing your images. The tilting feature enables the ability to tilt the screen upwards, to 180º, & downwards to 45º, making high & low angle shooting, as well as self-portraits, a much easier experience.
Image & Video:
Image:
The EOS M200 produces high-resolution stills, thanks to its 24.1 Megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, & DIGIC 8 Image Processor, and shoots with a 6.1 fps continuous shooting rate, as well as a wide ISO 100-25600 sensitivity range, making it suitable for a variety of conditions. The image processor minimizes noise, while providing notable clarity in the production of images. Its 6.1 fps continuous shooting rate, as well as its short interval times between each frame, provides an intuitive & efficient shooting experience.
Video:
UHD 4K video is supported at 23.98 fps, as well as Full HD 1080p60, and HD 720p120, for slow motion recording capabilities. An included "Movie Servo AF" function is included, to provide a smooth & natural focusing experience, while recording video. The Movie Servo AF works with the EOS M200's Dual Pixel CMOS AF System to heighten subject tracking, by recognizing subjects, & maintaining focus, even inside of scenery that is constantly changing.
