Will standard light stand mounts and wireless triggers work with a Sony a57 flash setup?

I’m starting with off-camera flash on a budget and use a Sony a57. I already have a manual flash that works on the camera. I’m looking at a basic light stand/umbrella kit plus Cowboy Studio wireless triggers, and I’m unsure about shoe compatibility.
Do I need a light stand or umbrella adapter that is specific to Sony/Minolta, or do most wireless receivers use a standard foot that fits normal cold shoes on light stand mounts? Also, if I want to use flashes on the camera as well as off-camera, should I be looking for Sony-specific shoe versions or adapters?

Well, if you want to use any of the flashes you purchase on your camera body as well, then getting receivers that are designed for Sony (originally Minolta) hot shoes is a good idea and that may mean needing a Sony mount. However, one thing to consider is that Sony, for reasons I'm try to understand, put an ISO standard hot shoe on the A99. So... If there's any chance you'll upgrade to the flagship or move to another brand, you might consider going to a more standard shoe design and buying flashes designed for that instead.
At any rate, looking at the images of the receivers, it's a little hard to tell of the bottom is standard. It looks it, which means it should fit the cold shoe on the umbrella adapter as is. To confirm that, you could contact Cowboy Studio and confirm the best setup for your camera since you're looking at going with their gear across the board and it takes away any worry.

For the stand mount itself, you usually do not need a Sony-specific light stand or umbrella adapter. Those mounts typically use a standard cold shoe or stud, and the receiver shown appears likely to fit that type of mount.
The main compatibility issue is the camera/flash shoe, not the stand. If you want to mount the trigger or flash directly on your Sony a57, then Sony/Minolta shoe compatibility matters. If you also want to use the flashes on-camera, choosing receivers or flashes made for the Sony/Minolta shoe is the safer option.
If the receiver has a standard foot underneath, it should attach to a normal umbrella adapter/cold shoe just fine. Since product photos can be unclear, the safest next step is to confirm the receiver’s bottom mount with the seller before buying.
So: standard stand hardware is probably fine; check Sony shoe compatibility for anything that mounts on the camera body.
