What desktop software offers quick one-click photo effects similar to Camera+?

I’m looking for a desktop alternative to the Camera+ iPhone app for applying predefined photo effects quickly. I already have Adobe Photoshop, but I want something faster and simpler for processing lots of images. Ideally it would offer one-click effects, presets, or batch-friendly editing rather than full manual retouching.

Most of that sort of functionality is incorporated into Photoshop plugins, many of which are also available for use as stand-alone applications (with a lightweight plug-in "host"). Topaz Labs, Nik Software and Alien Skin (among others) can probably provide what you're looking for.

Yes. For fast, preset-based effects on desktop, a few common options fit what you want:

  • Photoshop plug-ins/standalone apps from companies like Topaz Labs, Nik Software, and Alien Skin are designed for quick stylized effects.
  • Adobe Lightroom can be a better fit than Photoshop if you’re processing many photos, since you can use downloadable presets and batch-apply them to multiple images.
  • If you don’t strictly need installed desktop software, browser-based editors like BeFunky and FotoFlexer offer simple one-click effects in a workflow similar to phone apps.

So if speed and batch work matter most, Lightroom with presets is a strong choice; if you want more creative effect packs, dedicated plug-ins or their standalone versions are likely closest to the Camera+ experience.
