Can Lightroom Mobile apply the same keywords to multiple photos at once?

I’m using Lightroom Mobile on an iPhone and want to add the same keyword(s) to several photos. In Lightroom desktop this is easy for a batch of images, but I can’t find the option in the mobile app. Can Lightroom Mobile batch-apply keywords, or do I need to add them photo by photo?

Unfortunately, there’s currently not a way (in version 3.1.0 for iPhone) to select a group of photos and then apply the same keyword(s) to your selection.
However, there is a feature to copy one photo’s keyword(s), and then paste these to other photos in your album, one at a time.
- Go a photo where you’d like to start. Go to the Keywords view, if you’re not there already. Add your desired keyword(s) to the photo. The following screenshot shows several added keywords that I want to apply to a second image.
- Tap the three dots / ellipsis in the upper right corner to display a menu. Choose “Copy Keywords.”
- Swipe or go the the image where you want to apply the keywords. Display the menu again, and tap “Paste Keywords.”
- You should now see the pasted keywords. If you want to apply the keywords to additional images, return to Step 3.

Lightroom Mobile does not offer true batch keywording for multiple selected photos in the version described. You can’t select a group of images and apply keywords to all of them at once.
The available workaround is to add the keywords to one photo, then copy and paste those keywords to other photos individually:
- Open a photo and go to the Keywords view.
- Add the keyword(s) you want.
- Tap the three-dot menu and choose Copy Keywords.
- Move to another photo.
- Open the menu again and choose Paste Keywords.
So, on mobile, you’ll need to paste the keywords one image at a time rather than applying them to a whole selection in one step.
