I want to make in-camera double exposures on my Canon EOS 600 (film). Is there a way to disable the automatic film advance, or does this camera have a built-in multiple exposure mode?

The Canon EOS 600 film camera is also known as the EOS 630 in North America. Yes, it can do up to 9 multiple exposures on one frame.
To shoot multiple exposures, press the “Mode” and “EXP.COMP” buttons simultaneously, and then select the number of exposures you want per frame with the control wheel near the shutter button.

Yes. The Canon EOS 600 film camera (called the EOS 630 in North America) has a built-in multiple exposure function, so you do not need to disable the automatic film advance.
To set it up, press the Mode and EXP.COMP buttons at the same time, then use the control wheel near the shutter button to choose how many exposures you want on the same frame. The camera supports up to 9 exposures per frame, so double exposures are possible.
