I’m using a Fotasy EF-to-NX adapter to mount Canon EF lenses on a Samsung NX camera. The lens seems stuck on the adapter, and I suspect the adapter’s lens release button may be missing. Is there supposed to be a release button, and how can I safely remove the lens if it’s gone?

Yes. This adapter should have a push-button lens release on the left side when viewed from the lens-mount end. If that button is missing, the locking mechanism may still be inside the adapter. You can usually release the lens by carefully inserting a suitably stiff pin into the button hole to depress the lock, then rotating the lens to remove it. Use light pressure only so you don’t damage the adapter or lens mount. If the mechanism does not move or the lens still won’t release, stop and inspect the adapter for damage before forcing it.

The button should be on the left hand side looking from the lens mount end (it is a push button). If it is missing you should be able to insert a pin of suitable stiffness into the hole in order to release the lock.
