How do I mount an Ultramaxx 1300mm T-mount lens on a Canon 2000D?

I have a Canon 2000D and bought an Ultramaxx 1300mm lens that already has a T-mount fitting on it. I’m confused about whether the installed mount is supposed to come off, and whether there is any release button on it. Do I need to remove anything, or do I need a separate adapter to attach this lens to my Canon EF mount camera?

As I understand it, the lens comes with a built-in T-Mount, if you want to mount it on a camera, you need a suitable adapter, from T-mount to camera mount (Canon EF in your case). Something like this.
Keep in mind that since this is a f/8-16 lens, the camera autofocus won't work.

The installed fitting is likely the lens’s built-in T-mount, not a Canon EF mount. On a Canon 2000D, you normally do not remove that part. Instead, you add a separate T-mount-to-Canon EF adapter between the lens and the camera body.
So if it won’t come off, that may be normal—there may be no release button because it isn’t meant to be removed for basic mounting.
To use the lens, look for a T-mount adapter made for Canon EF/EF-S cameras. Once fitted, the lens can mount to your 2000D.
Also note that with a lens like this, autofocus is not expected to work, so you’ll need to focus manually.
