Lightroom keeps prompting me to back up my catalog, but I mainly use it for editing and would like to stop the reminder. Is there a way to turn off the catalog backup notification?

Lightroom always uses a catalog to store your edits, however you can disable the backup notifications.
Go to: Edit->Catalog Settings (PC) OR Lightroom->Catalog Settings (Mac)
Set: "Back up catalog" to "Never"

Yes. In Lightroom, go to Catalog Settings and set the catalog backup option to Never.
Path:
- Windows: Edit > Catalog Settings
- Mac: Lightroom > Catalog Settings
Then in the General section, change Back up catalog to Never.
Keep in mind that Lightroom always uses a catalog, even if you only use it for editing. Your develop adjustments are stored there, so disabling backups means you could lose those edits if the catalog becomes corrupted. Many users prefer to leave backups enabled, even if only occasionally.
