How can I name Lightroom exports so PhotoShelter sorts by rating descending and time ascending?

I export images directly from Lightroom 3 to PhotoShelter using the plugin, and PhotoShelter can sort gallery images by date, filename, or manual custom order. I want the final order to be rating descending, then capture time/date ascending within each rating group.
Because the final sort in PhotoShelter is by filename, I’m looking for a Lightroom export naming approach that will produce that order when sorted Z-A, without adding any manual intermediate step after export. Is there a filename template or workflow in Lightroom that will accomplish this?

I like a challenge!
The only way I can find of doing this is as follows:
- Sort your collection by Rating, in Z-A order.
Now export with a naming template something like this:
{Image # (0001)»}-{Date (YYYYMMDD)»}-{Filename»}
That should result in exactly what you're after.

Yes. A workable approach is to let Lightroom assign the sequence based on your desired sort order, then include that sequence at the start of the exported filename.
In Lightroom:

Sort the collection by rating in descending order.

Export using a filename template that begins with the export sequence number, followed by date and original filename, for example:
{Image # (0001)}-{Date (YYYYMMDD)}-{Filename}
Because the images are exported in the order Lightroom is showing them, the sequence number preserves that order. Including the date after the sequence also keeps the filenames readable.
This gives you filenames that, when sorted appropriately in PhotoShelter, reproduce the rating-first ordering you want without a separate manual reordering step.
