Can I transfer RAW files from a Sony RX100 III to an Android phone over Wi‑Fi?

I’m traveling with only an Android phone and use it for basic editing. My camera is a Sony RX100 III, and I’d like to send just a few RAW photos at a time to the phone without removing the SD card. Sony’s PlayMemories app appears to transfer only JPEGs. Is there any practical way to transfer RAW files over Wi‑Fi from this camera setup?

Maybe an Eye-Fi card could be a solution to your problem?

BEyefi Mobi Pro is an SDHC memory card with a pro punch: available in 16GB and 32GB capacity, it includes built-in WiFi that connects your camera, at lightning speeds to your smartphone, tablet, PC or Mac. Just pop it into your camera and install any of our desktop or mobile apps to instantly transfer RAW and JPEG. Selective transfer gives you the freedom to choose which images transfer to your device. Mobi Pro will transfer images over your existing home network — or if you're on location, it will create and use a private, secure connection, for ultimate on-the-go convenience. For additional information see the tech specs.

The built-in Sony app/workflow is generally limited to JPEG transfer, so if you specifically need RAW over Wi‑Fi, a common workaround is to use a Wi‑Fi SD card instead of the standard card. Community advice pointed to the Eye‑Fi Mobi Pro, which is designed to transfer RAW and JPEG files to a phone or tablet and can create its own direct wireless connection when you’re away from a home network.

So: with the RX100 III’s normal Sony app, RAW transfer is not the expected option; using a compatible Wi‑Fi SD card is the practical route suggested here if your camera supports it.
