Can a Yongnuo YN-622C trigger give high-speed sync with a Godox SK400/SK300 over a PC sync cable?

I’m using Godox SK400 and SK300 monolights with a Yongnuo YN-622C trigger. If I connect the YN-622C receiver to the strobe with a PC-to-3.5mm sync cable, can I shoot above my camera’s normal 1/250s flash sync speed? The SK series specs mention flash durations as short as 1/2000s, and with the Godox FT16 trigger I can’t go faster than 1/250s. I’d like to know whether this setup provides true HSS, or only a workaround such as SuperSync, and what limitations to expect.

i confirm it. Cable sync Yongnuo YN-622C trigger with godox sk400/300 can shot at 1/2000 with in super sync mode.
that's just a quick try with 1/2000 3.5 and ss

Not true HSS. The Godox SK400/SK300 are manual monolights and do not support HSS/TTL-style communication.
With a YN-622C and a PC-to-3.5mm sync cable, you may be able to shoot above 1/250s using the YN-622C’s SuperSync mode, not real high-speed sync. SuperSync works by delaying the trigger so the shutter slit passes during the longer tail of the flash pulse. Whether it works well depends on the strobe’s flash curve and timing.
Typical limitations:
- it usually requires the PC sync output on the YN-622C
- timing may need adjustment in the trigger settings
- results vary by strobe and camera
- it often works best at full power
- you may still see uneven exposure or banding at higher shutter speeds
Also, the strobe’s quoted 1/2000s flash duration does not mean it can sync at 1/2000s shutter speed. Flash duration and camera sync speed are different things.
So: yes, possibly faster than 1/250s with this cable-and-trigger setup, but only via SuperSync, not true HSS.
