This compact and lightweight lens works with both FX- and DX-format Nikon cameras with an F-mount system. It comes with 16 optical elements, including a single Phase Fresnel and extra-low dispersion glass element to eliminate chromatic aberrations. The nano crystal coating reduces ghosting and lens flare, and the fluorine coat on the front element keeps dust, moisture, grease, and dirt away. The lens provides quiet and fast autofocus thanks to the Silent Wave Motor AF system. When using the camera handheld, Vibration Reduction minimizes the effect of camera shakes by 4.5 stops. The electromagnetic diaphragm ensures consistency in exposure metering at high frame rates.
