Megapixels:
A megapixel is one million pixels. It is commonly used to describe the resolution of digital cameras. For example, a 7.2 megapixel camera is capable of capturing roughly 7,200,000 pixels. The higher the megapixel number, the more detail the camera can capture. Therefore, the megapixel count is a significant specification to look for when buying a digital camera.

Take crisp and vibrant photos on the go with the Fujifilm X100F Digital Camera. Equipped with a Fujinon 23mm f/2 lens, the camera can capture wide-angle shots and portrait photos with shallow depth of field. The camera is built around a 24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor and X-Processor Pro image processor that ensure high-resolution imagery and sensitivity up to 51200. The Fuji X100F also provides Full HD 1080p video recording and 8 fps continuous shooting. You can switch between optical and electronic live view using the advanced hybrid viewfinder. Fujifilm's proprietary film simulation modes are included in the camera for providing a distinct celluloid look to the digital image. With the built-in Wi-Fi, you can transfer photos to smartphones and control the camera wirelessly via mobile.

Optics and Focus

The Fujifilm X100F features an integrated Fujinon 23mm f/2 lens that can be used for both capturing wide-angle and medium shots. Its optical construction has 8 elements in 6 groups. A single aspherical lens is located among the elements to limit distortions at the edges. Additionally, the super EBC coating is applied to minimize ghosting and flare. The camera has up to 5 exposure metering methods designed for obtaining different results. You can also adjust the exposure compensation of ±5 EV in 1/3 EV steps with the dedicated dial located on the top right side. The 91-point autofocus system includes both phase and contrast detection areas that are divided into 325 points. With the Auto Macro focus mode, you can click photos of small objects that are 3.9 inches away. The focus peaking function helps you to get critical focus on objects. You can achieve the focal length of a 50mm or 70mm lens with the Digital Teleconverter function. The camera also comes with a built-in ND filter providing a light loss of 3 stops.

Sensor and Screen

The Fuji X100F is fitted with a 24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor that uses randomized pixel array to render high-quality images and videos. Also, the optical low-pass filter is omitted to improve sharpness. The advanced hybrid viewfinder incorporates both optical and electronic viewfinder options. You can use the OVF for an unadulterated view of the scene with minimal shutter lag. The EVF mode shows the final results of the camera settings on the image before pressing the shutter release button. With the real-time parallax correction, you can accurately frame the scene to avoid cropping in the final image. The 3.0-inch 1.04m-dot LCD monitor also makes it easy to compose the scene and navigate through different menus.

Image and Video

Take advantage of the upgraded X-Processor Pro in the X100F to take photos with a maximum resolution of 6000×4000 pixels in JPEG and RAW formats. The image processor also supports the overall system when recording Full HD 1080p videos at 60 fps as well as capturing burst photos at 8 fps. Moreover, the processor works closely with the image sensor to reduce noise when a high ISO value is set. The film simulation modes such as Velvia and Provia gives the characteristic look of classic Fujifilm rolls. Other advanced filters like Toy Camera, Pop Color, and Soft Focus allow you to obtain unique results whenever you hold the camera.

Other Features

Enable the built-in Wi-Fi to send photos to smartphones and tablets for instant online sharing. You can also synchronize the camera with your smartphone via an app for remote control. The Fujifilm X100F has an integrated flash with an effective range of 0.98 to 29.53 feet. You may mount an external strobe on the hot shoe. All the dials and controls are placed on the right side of the camera for comfortable one-hand use. This Fujifilm digital camera runs on the provided NP-W126S Li-ion battery.

Elements / Groups:
The individual pieces of glass that form the overall optical construction. Most lenses have between four and eleven elements to bend the light rays to ensure a perfectly formed image appears on the light sensitive surface, such as a film or CCD. The elements are arranged in groups and may be seen in specification sheets as, for example, 6 elements in 4 groups. That configuration may have two single elements and the other four grouped in pairs.
