The Voigtländer Avus 9 x 12 cm Folding Camera is a reliable camera that is capable of taking photographs with decent quality. It is equipped with a 135 mm f/4.5 Anastigmat Skopar lens, along with a 36.8 mm slip-on filter for capturing good quality pictures. The ground glass screen located on the back of the camera, along with the cloth hood, lets you view and adjust the exact focus. You can shoot instant pictures with speeds by simply setting the time dial on I or M. This camera includes two viewfinders: a Waist-level Brilliant Finder and a Sports Finder.

Optics and Focus

The Avus 9 x 12 cm folding camera from Voigtländer features a 135 mm f/4.5 Anastigmat Skopar lens, as well as a 36.8 mm slip-on filter for taking pictures with good quality. Use the ground glass screen located on the back of the camera, with the cloth hood, for viewing and adjusting the exact focus, to suit your needs. The ground glass screen opens with the help of a latch on the left back side of the camera. It slides upward for replacing the plate film holder. The shutter speed ranges from one second to 1/200th of a second, while the focus range ranges from 1.2 m to 20 m.

Sensor and Screen

This camera includes two different viewfinders: a Sports Finder and a Waist-level Brilliant Finder. The sports finder is hinged on the lens-shutter barrel mount plate, and is used with a foldable rear peep sight frame, on the camera’s left side, whereas the waist-level finder is found on top of the lens and bellows mount plate.
