The Tokina 300mm f/2.8 AT-X is a telephoto lens, suitable for sports and nature photography. It can be used with Nikon Ai-S cameras. Its optical construction involves nine elements in seven groups, which include two extra-low dispersion SD elements. A multi-coating is applied on the lens to minimize ghosting and lens flare. This Tokina lens works with an autofocus system to capture images from the closest focusing distance of 2.4 m. A seven-blade diaphragm creates rounded bokeh in the image background. The front thread of this lens accepts 112mm filters.
