Films having a speed up to 3200 ASA can be used with the Minolta XD-5. The camera has both mechanical and electronic shutters whose speeds can reach 1/100th of a second and 1/1000th of a second, respectively. You may attach an external flash to the provided shoe, PC X, and M-Sync terminals. Additional features in the camera include a self-timer, mirror lockup, and LED indicators in the viewfinder.
