Overview
With its compact size, modern technology, and a wide range of features, the DJI Mavic Pro takes aerial photography and videography to a whole new level. It comes with the OcuSync Transmission Technology, which enables you to relay a signal up to a 4.3-mile line-of-sight, especially while recording 720p HD videos. The 3-axis gimbal stabilizer uses 3 specially miniaturized brushless motors and advanced algorithms to prevent unwanted camera movement for a smooth video-recording experience. Speaking of the camera, it has a 12.35 MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor that lets you take high-quality videos and photos. Use the ActiveTrack subject tracking modes for tracking your subjects automatically without the requirement for any GPS bracelets or transmitters.
Optics and Focus
The DJI Mavic Pro features a 28 mm f/2.2 lens that offers a viewing field of 78.8° and a focus range of 1.6 ft. The ISO ranges from 100 to 3200 in the video mode, while the electronic shutter speed ranges from 8 seconds to 1/8000th of a second.
Sensor and Screen
The Mavic Pro from DJI is equipped with a 12.35 MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor that enables you to shoot high-quality photos and videos. The drone’s advanced flight control system uses a host of sensors that include a ground-facing camera, GPS, ultrasound, dual redundant IMUs, and so on for keeping track of where the drone is flying. The obstacle detection sensor comes in handy for avoiding collisions and provides a precise measurement range of 2 to 49 ft and a detectable range of 49 to 98 ft.
Image and Video
The Mavic Pro shoots 4K DCI videos at a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels in the MOV format at 24p, as well as JPEG and DNG RAW still images at a maximum resolution of 4000 x 3000 pixels. You can take amazing selfies with the drone’s camera by simply putting it in the Gesture Mode and walking in front of it. Perform burst shooting of images at a rate of up to 7 fps.
Other Features
The OcuSync Transmission Technology featured in this drone lets you relay a signal up to a 4.3-mile line-of-sight, particularly while shooting 720p HD videos. Link your smartphone or tablet with the drone by downloading the DJI GO mobile app. It is ideal for seeing everything from the drone’s camera in real time from your smartphone or tablet so that you can set up and frame each and every shot as if you are actually present in the subject’s location. The ActiveTrack subject tracking modes are useful for tracking your subjects automatically without the need for any transmitters or GPS bracelets. Use the Sports Mode for enabling the drone to travel at a top speed of up to 40 mph with a blend of agility and responsiveness. The simple video editing functions, automatic video editing templates, along with easy photo and video management together serve as the tools you need to prepare astounding videos right in your phone. The Mavic Pro runs on a 3830 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery.
