The Canon 6D DSLR Camera is an ideal choice for professional photographers. This camera can be used with Canon EF mount lenses. The camera comes with a 20.2 MP full-frame CMOS sensor and DIGIC 5+ image processor that boost the camera performance in low-light conditions. With 11-point AF system, you get an accurate focus performance no matter where you are shooting. The ISO range of this Canon camera has a native range of 100–25600 that can be extended to 50–102400. Freeze a fast-moving subject in a single frame by increasing the shutter speed up to 1/4000th of a second. The camera has a 3.0-inch Clear View LCD and a bright pentaprism viewfinder with a 21mm eye point. A hot shoe is provided at the top to mount an external flash. The camera is powered by an LP-E6 rechargeable Li-ion battery pack.

Optics and Focus

The Canon 6D employs the 11-point AF system that is contributed by the refined center cross-type point with EV -3. Apart from using the standard focus modes like One-shot AF and AI Servo AF, you can customize the AI Servo mode according to your subject tracking, acceleration, deceleration sensitivities, and 1st or 2nd image priority adjustments.

The Canon 6D DSLR camera is fitted with a full-frame CMOS sensor that provides 20 MP high-resolution images. The 3.0-inch Clear View LCD offers 1040K-dot resolution along and a 160° diagonal view. An anti-reflection coating is applied to the LCD to provide a comfortable view even in bright conditions. The pentaprism viewfinder offers bright imagery to support the AF operation. It gives a 0.71× magnification of the image and a diopter adjustment from -3 to +1 m. The Clear View LCD offers a 100% screen coverage while the viewfinder covers 97% of the frame.

Image and Video

The Canon 6D DSLR camera takes pictures with a maximum resolution of 5472×3648 dpi in JPEG and RAW format. In the movie mode, the camera can record Full HD 1080p videos at 30 fps. The DIGIC 5+ image processor supports HD video recording along with the continuous shooting mode at 4.5. This camera comes with a built-in HDR that reduces your work of image overlaying in post-production. You can also take images with multiple exposures to get a unique picture effect. There are up to 9 exposures that can be overlayed on a single image via two individual control settings. The Scene Intelligent Auto mode fine-tunes the white balance and exposure as per the lighting in the scene.

Other Features

Transfer images to your smartphone by enabling the built-in Wi-Fi. It also allows you to control the camera from your smartphone via the Canon EOS Remote app. The integrated GPS records your currents location and lets you tag the information on the images. The camera accepts electronic flash units on its hot shoe. You can synchronize the mounted flash with the shutter speed up to 1/180th of a second. The self-timer can be set from 2 to 10 seconds to delay the shutter release. This camera has a sealed body that prevents dust from entering inside.
