Relive the uniqueness of film photography with the Nikon FM2 35mm Film SLR. This camera accepts Nikon F bayonet mount lenses. The TTL full aperture exposure measuring system operates on two SPD cells and offers a working range of EV1– EV18 at ISO 100. With the eye-level optical viewfinder, you get 93% coverage of the actual image. You can also view the exposure scale, shutter speed, and f-stop value in the viewfinder. The camera uses a split-image microprism focusing screen. You can mount an external flash to the hot shoe or connect a wired flashbulb to the sync terminal. The camera runs on a single 3 V lithium battery, or two 1.55 V silver-oxide or 1.5 V alkaline-manganese batteries.

Optics and Focus

The Nikon SLR uses TTL full aperture exposure measuring that is powered by two SPD cells. Turn on the light meter by pressing the shutter release button half-way down. With this camera, you can take photos in a light sensitivity range of EV1–EV18 at ISO 100. The shutter speed is adjustable from 1 second to 1/4000th of a second. Also, the B mode allows you to take long exposure shots. You can set the film speed from ISO 12 to 6400. The removable focusing screen has a split-image circle with a microprism collar surrounding it. Check whether the image is as you desired with the depth-of-field preview lever.

Sensor and Screen

The camera comes with an eye-level optical viewfinder that offers 93% screen coverage. You can see the current shutter speed, aperture value, and exposure reading when composing the scene through the viewfinder.

Image and Video

The camera works with 35mm film rolls to capture photographs. You can advance the film by winding the lever at 130°. An optical motor drive MD-2 can be attached to the camera for automatic film winding. Capture multiple exposures on a single frame with the dedicated lever located on the top.

Other Features

The camera has a hot shoe and sync terminal for connecting external flash devices. This camera synchronizes Speedlights at up to 1/250th of a second and M, FB, and MF flashbulbs at 1/30th of a second. The frame counter denotes the number of exposures taken. Keep a note of the current film in the rear memo holder. You can insert a single 3 V lithium battery, or two 1.55V silver-oxide or 1.5V alkaline-manganese batteries into the camera.
