OVERVIEW
With its incredible speed, versatility, and durability, the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II Mirrorless 4/3 Digital Camera Body - Black is a practical gadget for amateur and experienced photographers alike. It features a 20.4 MP Live MOS sensor, which works in conjunction with the TruePic VIII image processor for enjoying a remarkably fast shooting performance, along with an outstanding image quality and an expanded sensitivity range. The Dual F.A.S.T. Autofocus uses 121 contrast detection areas and 121 cross-type phase-detection points for delivering a quick and accurate focusing performance. The inbuilt WiFi enables you to share images wirelessly and control the camera remotely from a linked tablet or smartphone.
Optics and Focus
The OM-D E-M1 Mark II camera body from Olympus is compatible with a variety of Micro Four Thirds lenses. The extended ISO sensitivity ranges from 64 to 25,600, while the maximum shutter speed stands at 1/32,000th of a second. The Dual F.A.S.T. Autofocus utilizes 121 cross-type phase-detection points and 121 contrast detection to deliver a focusing performance that is quick and accurate. The metering methods, as well as the Exposure and White Balance modes, are helpful for a wide range of photography situations. Use the 5-Axis Sensor-Shift image stabilization function for minimizing the appearance of camera shake by up to 5.5 stops in order to perform macro imagery, telephoto shots, and long exposures with immense sharpness.
Sensor and Screen
The Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II is equipped with a 20.4 MP Live MOS sensor that lets you take pictures with brilliant image quality and an expanded sensitivity range. The 3-inch 1.04 m-dot Vari-Angle swivel touchscreen makes it easy to take front-facing selfies. For a crystal-clear eye-level monitoring experience, this camera includes an electronic viewfinder with a 2,360,000-dot resolution. The touchscreen and viewfinder both offer a coverage rating of 100%.
Image and Video
The OM-D E-M1 Mark II camera body shoots JPEG and RAW photos at a resolution of up to 5184 x 3888 pixels, as well as 4K videos at a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels at 24 fps. The TruePic VIII image processor is capable of processing videos and images at a high rate of speed without compromising on quality. Use the Pro Capture Mode for recording and buffering full-resolution RAW or JPEG images just before fully depressing the shutter. As soon as you press the shutter button halfway, it begins to record frames, and once the shutter is fully pressed, the image is saved, along with the previous 14 frames.
Other Features
The camera’s integrated WiFi facility allows you to control the camera remotely from a smartphone or tablet, and share photos wirelessly. The Silent Shutter Mode completely mutes the shutter noise and other electronic sounds so that you can peacefully work in locations where absolute silence is required. Use the Keystone Compensation for rectifying the convergence while working in live view. This camera runs on a BLH-1 rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery pack.
