The Olympus OM-D E-M10 is a mirrorless camera that provides high-sensitivity even in low light conditions. You can fit Micro Four Thirds mount lenses to this camera. The 16.1 MP Live MOS sensor and TruePic VII image processor work together to produce crystal clear images and videos. In the video mode, the camera records in 1080p with a maximum frame rate of 30 fps. The 1440K-dot electronic viewfinder has a 120 fps refresh rate to ensure lag-free movement when making sharp pan or tilt. With the 3-axis sensor-shift image stabilization, the camera reduces the effects of camera shakes without cropping the image. The FAST AF system delivers reliable and fast autofocus and subject tracking. Import captured images to your smartphone or control the camera wirelessly via the Olympus Image Share app by enabling the built-in Wi-Fi.

Optics and Focus

The camera is designed for Micro Four Thirds mount lenses. This Olympus camera features the Fine Detail II technology that autocorrects chromatic aberrations based on the lens in use. The FAST autofocus system employs contrast-detection AF method that includes 81 selectable AF points. It ensures quick response for both single and continuous shooting. Along with the Small Target and Group Target focusing areas, the camera has Super Spot AF to get precise focus on a small part. The focus peaking and manual focus assist functions make it easy to implement focus pull techniques.

Sensor and Screen

The Olympus OM-D E-M10 is fitted with a 16.1 MP Live MOS sensor that ensures accurate color recognition. With the 3.0-inch 1037K-dot touchscreen LCD, you can compose the scene or review captured images and videos. The LCD also has a tilting design that makes it easy to take high or low angle shots. You can click pictures from the eye-level position with the 1440K-dot electronic viewfinder. The EVF activates in 0.07 seconds thanks to the automatic eye-detection function. With the 120 fps refresh rate, the EVF ensures a smooth view when panning or tilting the camera quickly. You can also adjust the hue and color saturation of the image while looking through the EVF with the Color Creator.

Image and Video

The OM-D E-M10 captures 15.9 MP still shots that have a maximum resolution of 4608×3456. You can switch to the movie mode to record 1080p videos at 30 fps. The camera takes continuous shots up to 16 frames at 8 fps with single-shot AF and up to 20 frames at 3.5 fps with continuous autofocus. With the TruePic VII image processor, the camera ensures improved low-light performance. The 3-axis sensor-shift image stabilization reduces the appearance of camera shakes when using handheld shooting techniques. The camera also includes 12 art filters and other picture features like Photo Story to bring versatility to your photography experience.

Other Features

The Wi-Fi connectivity allows wireless image transfer and remote camera control. You can use the built-in flash with a guide number of 19.03 feet at ISO 100 or connect up to 4 wireless flash units. A BLS-5 rechargeable Li-ion battery powers the camera.
