Will a Joby Gorillapod SLR-Zoom fit an Olympus OM-D E-M10?

I’m considering a Joby Gorillapod for an Olympus OM-D E-M10. The Gorillapod Hybrid specifically mentions mirrorless cameras but has a lower weight rating, while the SLR-Zoom supports more weight and is marketed toward DSLRs. Do mirrorless cameras like the E-M10 use the same tripod mount thread, and will the SLR-Zoom attach properly?

Yes. From the specification for the Gorillapod:

Connection Point: ¼"-20 standard tripod mount

And see Is there a standard tripod mount? — this is the standard thread, which is near-universal. It's not listed in Olympus's E-M10 specs, possibly because it's so assumed. You can see from, for example, this review that the camera does have a tripod socket — and it's definitely safe to assume that it's the standard one (and the review notes that this is in line with the lens mount, which is convenient for alignment — not the case on some compact cameras).

Yes. The Olympus OM-D E-M10 uses the standard camera tripod socket, and the Joby Gorillapod SLR-Zoom uses a standard 1/4"-20 tripod mount, so it will attach properly.

In practice, DSLR vs mirrorless labeling here is mostly about marketing and expected camera size/weight, not a different mounting thread. As long as the camera has a tripod socket, it is generally the same standard thread used by tripods and support accessories.

So the key difference between those Gorillapod models is weight capacity, not compatibility with the mount.
