The Fujifilm X-E1 Mirrorless Camera offers fast focus response, superb low-noise performance, and film-like Full HD videos. It accepts Fujifilm X-mount lenses. The camera is equipped with a 16.3 APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor that works with the EXR image processor to boosts the camera performance as well as produce high-resolution images. The rear LCD can be used for image composition and media playback. A 2.36m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder is also integrated into the camera design. When you put the camera in the QuickStart mode, it powers-up in 0.5 seconds to ensure you don't miss any special moment. The TTL contrast-detection autofocus with AF assist illuminator offers a fast focus speed of 0.1 seconds. You can connect an external microphone to the camera's audio-in port. The magnesium alloy body ensures durability.

Optics and Focus

This Fujifilm is designed for X-mount lenses. There are three exposure metering options, namely average, multi-zone, and spot metering. Auto bracketing option is provided to shoot three continuous images with different exposure settings in an ISO sensitivity range of ±1/3EV, ±2/3EV, and +1EV. The TTL phase-detection autofocusing mechanism includes 49 AF points. Increase the shutter speed up to 1/4000th of a second to take clear still shots of fast-moving objects. Turn the shutter dial to B or T modes to capture photos with long exposures that is ideal for nature photography and astrophotography work.

Sensor and Screen

This Fujifilm mirrorless camera is equipped with a 16.3 MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor that provides high color sensitivity. Use the rear LCD to watch recorded media, compose the shot and make adjustments in the various camera settings. The LCD also has a special anti-reflection coating to reduce glare as well as resist stains and smudges. You can also frame the shot with the 2.36m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder. The viewfinder automatically detects the presence of an eye with its built-in eye sensor.

Image and Video

The Fujifilm X-E1 can take 16.3 MP still shots at a maximum resolution of 4896×3264 dpi. It can record Full HD videos at 24 fps. The EXR image processor has an integrated co-processor to improve the overall image processing time of the camera. This camera includes various film simulation modes that mimic the look and feel of classic Fujifilm rolls such as PROVIA, Velvia, and ASTIA. You can process the RAW images in-camera to make your post-production work simple. The camera allows you to take multiple exposures on a single frame.

Other Features

The Fujifilm camera has a built-in flash with a guide number of 7 feet at ISO 100. An external flash can also be mounted on the camera via the hot shoe. Press the Drive button to navigate through various camera pre-set options. The Q button lets you access the recently accessed camera settings. You can connect an external microphone to the 2.5 mm input jack. This camera has its body built from magnesium alloy to offer durability. The camera runs on an NP-W126 rechargeable Li-ion battery.
