Some of the rumored specs are as follows:
- Same 16MP sensor as in the X-Pro1 (with max ISO of 25,600)
- 6 fps
- Light magnesium body
- Improved AF speed
- Price: bellow $1000
- To be released before Christmas
- Same video recording capabilities as the X-Pro1
- Mic input
- EVF only (not hybrid as the X-Pro1)
- Two colors: black and silver
- Pull 25 ISO to simulate Velvia in JPEG mode
- The X-E1 will have a 2,360k dots OLED EVF with a 1:5000 contrast ratio
- The optical part of the EVF will have a double ASPH element and diopter correction
- The X-E1 body will weight 350 g (compared to 450 g for the X-Pro1)
- The Mic input of the X-E1 will server also as electronic camera trigger
We want to know what you think. Is this something you would be interested in? I for one can say that this camera could find a nice home next to my X-Pro 1!
