It is used mainly for cleaning the f/APS-H type sensors, as well as other optical and imaging surfaces that are delicate or hard to reach. Since the swabs are manufactured and sealed in clean rooms, they are immensely pure. Additionally, the swabs are more absorbent and hence, do not shed or leave any fibers behind.
