Godox X3Pro S Touchscreen TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Sony

The Godox X3Pro S Touchscreen TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Sony is a compact, modern radio transmitter built for photographers who want faster control, cleaner setup, and dependable wireless flash performance. Designed for Sony cameras with the Multi Interface Shoe, it gives you direct access to Godox 2.4GHz wireless lighting with support for TTL auto flash, manual flash, High-Speed Sync, and advanced multi-light group management. Its standout feature is the responsive touchscreen interface, which makes navigating settings far quicker than traditional button-heavy triggers.

Compatible With

• Sony cameras with Multi Interface Shoe, including popular Alpha series bodies such as the Sony a1, a9 III, a9 II, a9, a7R V, a7R IV, a7R III, a7 IV, a7 III, a7S III, a6700, a6600, a6400, a7C II, and a7C, as well as other compatible Sony MI-shoe cameras.
• Godox 2.4GHz X wireless system flashes and receivers compatible with Sony TTL operation.

Touchscreen Control for Faster Workflow

The X3Pro S is built around a streamlined touchscreen experience that helps reduce menu diving and speeds up flash adjustments on set. Instead of cycling through layers of physical controls, photographers can quickly tap into groups, switch modes, adjust power, and apply exposure compensation with minimal interruption. This is especially useful during weddings, portraits, editorial work, and fast-paced commercial sessions where lighting changes frequently.

Reliable Sony TTL and Manual Flash Operation

For photographers who need exposure flexibility, the X3Pro S supports Sony TTL metering for rapid-changing shooting environments and full manual flash control when consistent repeatable output is required. TTL is ideal for event coverage, on-camera direction, and run-and-gun portraiture, while manual mode gives studio photographers precise lighting ratios and repeatability frame after frame. Flash exposure compensation, mode switching, and remote group control make it easy to move between creative and practical lighting setups.

High-Speed Sync and Expanded Creative Control

With support for High-Speed Sync up to 1/8000 second on compatible Sony cameras and flashes, the X3Pro S allows you to work in bright daylight with wide apertures or freeze fast-moving action with flash. This opens up creative options for outdoor portraits, fashion shoots, and sports-adjacent work where ambient light needs to be controlled without sacrificing depth of field. Additional sync-related features such as second-curtain sync and other advanced flash functions depend on the connected camera and flash combination, but the X3Pro S is designed to integrate deeply into the Godox X ecosystem.

Built for Multi-Light Setups

As part of the Godox X 2.4GHz wireless radio system, the X3Pro S can control multiple off-camera flashes across 16 groups and 32 channels, making it a practical solution for both simple two-light portraits and more advanced studio productions. This structure allows photographers to organize key, fill, rim, background, and accent lights independently. When paired with compatible Godox strobes, speedlights, or receivers, the trigger becomes the command center for a highly scalable lighting system.

Compact Design with Rechargeable Power

One of the major benefits of the X3Pro S is its small footprint. It occupies minimal space on the camera, making it comfortable to use for long event days or mobile location work. The built-in rechargeable battery helps eliminate the need to keep spare AA batteries on hand, reducing bulk in your bag and simplifying charging between shoots. For photographers who value a cleaner, more modern accessory kit, this is a meaningful convenience upgrade.

Benefits for Real-World Shooting

In practical use, the X3Pro S helps photographers work more efficiently and more confidently. Wedding shooters can quickly compensate a backlight or turn a reception flash group on and off. Portrait photographers can adjust ratios without walking to each light stand. Commercial image makers can save time during client-facing sessions by making fast, quiet changes directly from camera position. Its touchscreen design and broad wireless capability make it particularly attractive for creators who already use Godox lights and want a more refined control interface.

How It Compares

Compared with more traditional flash triggers that rely heavily on buttons and monochrome menu navigation, the X3Pro S emphasizes speed and ease of interaction. It is especially appealing to users who want a cleaner modern interface while maintaining the core strengths of the Godox wireless system. Compared with entry-level trigger options, it offers a more premium control experience and a form factor that suits photographers who prioritize portability. For Sony users invested in off-camera flash, it serves as a compact but capable control hub.

Recommended Uses

The Godox X3Pro S is well suited for portrait photography, wedding coverage, event photography, environmental headshots, editorial assignments, product photography, and lightweight travel lighting kits. It is equally useful for photographers building their first off-camera setup and experienced users expanding an existing Godox lighting system.

History and System Context

Godox has grown into one of the most widely adopted lighting brands for photographers who want extensive system compatibility without moving into much higher-priced lighting ecosystems. The X wireless platform has been central to that success, unifying speedlights, monolights, and battery-powered strobes under a common radio control standard. The X3Pro series reflects a newer design direction focused on compact size, rechargeable operation, and touchscreen-based control, offering a fresh alternative to older trigger layouts while preserving the system flexibility that made Godox popular.
