There is something about Fujifilm’s range of Instax cameras, isn’t it? On one hand, we see these heavyweights, the DSLR cameras equipped with cutting-edge technology getting released every week. On the other hand, the smart and slightly old-fashioned Instax cameras are having almost a dream run in the market. The cameras have made for themselves quite a loyal customer base that is only growing with each day. It is possibly the reason why we have such a huge range of Instax cameras available, and see new additions being made to the range more frequently. With Fujifilm being the sole manufacturer of the Instant cameras, the market is wide open for them. Every new Fujifilm Instax camera seems to be better than the previous one, always offering something more and pertinently useful features. The recently released Instax wide 300 is no exception to that trend.
As the name suggests, the camera features a wider film format. As opposed to the standard film size, the Instax wide 300 comes with a 3.4x4.3-inch film that results in a picture size of 2.4x3.9 inches. The films are readily available and can be acquired separately.
The camera looks a little sleeker than its predecessor, the Instax 210, although it is not actually the case, because it is the straight lines that make it look a bit trimmed. However, it is indeed lighter than the Instax 210 by 38 grams, to be precise. Also, Fujifilm has made certain changes to the shape, which allows you to have a good hold. The larger hand grip is another notable feature.
Some other additions include a tripod socket (a handy feature), a 90cm-3m focal zoom dial, an LCD screen with flash and brightness control buttons. It is a fun camera which for its price is a great New Year'ds gift for a growing up photographer. It is also handy if you want to compile a nice instant photo album. What are holidays for, anyway?
