Attention, shutterbugs! A brand new lens from the house of Pentax will soon be available in stores. The new DA 16–85 mm f/3.5-5.6 ED DC RW lens was first introduced at the recently concluded Photokina. You can place a pre-order on the Pentax website.
A high-performance, interchangeable zoom lens, it is designed for PENTAX K-mount DSLR cameras. The target audience are advanced photographers, and this lens is brought out after repeated requests from professionals. The lens features a very high zoom ratio of 5:3 that can cover focal lengths in the range of 16–85 mm. In addition, the lens is equipped with signature PENTAX HD coating, which will deliver exceptional image quality under daunting light conditions. An extra-low-dispersion glass element helps prevent chromatic aberrations, and a slew of other features makes the lens an all-weather guy.
