Yongnuo YN24EX not firing from Canon EOS 2000D/T7 hot shoe

My Yongnuo YN24EX twin flash powers on and the test/pilot button fires normally, but it won’t fire when mounted on a Canon EOS 2000D / Rebel T7. The camera appears to detect the flash, and I’ve already tried fresh batteries, checked settings, and tested different exposure modes. External flash control is enabled, but the flash still won’t trigger from the shutter button. What should I check?

So guys i found the problem. It's a loose hotshoe connector on the flash, even with the screw lock. If i press the flash on the hotshoe of the camera and tilt it a little bit backwards, it works just fine.
I may be able to fix it by unscrewing the conector of the flash and tight the screws inside.
Thanks for all the help by the way.

Generated from our catalog & community — verify before relying on it.
First recheck the basics: make sure flash firing is enabled in the camera menu, and that the camera’s external flash settings match the flash mode you’re using (for example, manual flash with manual settings, TTL with TTL). Also reseat the flash carefully in the hot shoe.
In your case, the likely cause is a poor physical connection at the hot shoe. Since the pilot/test button fires the flash, the unit itself has power; if it only works when pressed down or tilted slightly backward, that points to a loose hot-shoe connector or contacts not seating properly. Tightening the flash foot/hot-shoe assembly may fix it.
So the issue is probably not your exposure settings, but an intermittent hot-shoe connection between the YN24EX and the EOS 2000D/T7.
