Why won't a Godox XPro fire a TT600 when mounted through a single-pin hot shoe adapter?

I'm using a Godox XPro-C on a Canon 5D Mark III with a single-pin hot shoe adapter between the camera and the trigger. In this setup, the XPro will not fire my Godox TT600 speedlights, even with everything set to manual. If I remove the adapter and mount the XPro directly on the camera, the flashes fire normally. Does the XPro support center-pin-only triggering, or is a different setup required?

The issue is the trigger, not the TT600. The Godox XPro does not support being fired from a simple center-pin hot shoe connection, so placing it on a single-pin adapter prevents it from triggering normally. That’s why it works when mounted directly on the Canon hot shoe, where the full Canon contacts are available.

If you need basic single-pin compatibility, the X1T supports a single-pin mode. Another option is to trigger the XPro through its sync socket if configured appropriately for backward-compatible firing. The TT600/TT660 can also be used as single-pin controllers in some setups.

So in short: no, the XPro is not a center-pin-only hot shoe trigger.

The Godox Xpro does not have a single pin trigger mode.

The Xpro can be fired from the Sync socket when configured appropriately to provide backward compatibility.

The X1T has a single pin mode.

Also the T600 and T660 flashes can be used as single pin controllers.
