I’m using a Canon 5D Mark II with a Speedlite 580EX II. The camera’s flash control menu was available before, but now I can’t find it anymore. What setting controls whether that menu appears?

Apologies for the silly question, I have to be in manual mode for the other menus to show up, something like P, TV, AV, M or B.

On the Canon 5D Mark II, the flash-related menu options only appear when the camera is in one of the creative shooting modes, such as P, Tv, Av, M, or Bulb. If you switch out of those modes, the flash control menu may disappear. Set the mode dial back to one of those exposure modes and the menu should return.
