What thread size fits the Canon AE-1 Program rewind crank mount?

My Canon AE-1 Program is missing its rewind crank, and I’m considering making a temporary replacement. There’s a threaded hole in the center of the ASA selector where the crank normally attaches. What bolt/thread size fits that hole, and does Canon use metric or imperial threads for this kind of part?

So i went ahead and ordered a bunch of metric machine screw sizes in the hopes that one would work.
Turns out a 3mm X .5mm will fit nicely.

Based on the community answers, the rewind crank mount on a Canon AE-1 Program takes a metric thread, and a 3mm x 0.5mm machine screw fits properly.
So if you’re fabricating a temporary rewind crank, M3-0.5 is the size to try.
Canon camera hardware of this type is generally metric, not imperial. The main common imperial camera thread you’ll encounter is the 1/4-inch tripod socket, which is unrelated to the rewind crank.
If you want an original part instead of improvising, try searching for a Canon rewind crank from the AE-1 or compatible donor bodies, or check camera repair shops/junk bins for parts cameras.
