What remote release connector does the Canon EOS-1N HS use?

I’m trying to identify the remote-control connector on a Canon EOS-1N HS film camera from the mid-1990s. It doesn’t match the newer remote ports used on later EOS digital bodies. I’d like to either find the plug itself for a DIY remote, or buy a compatible release and adapt the cable. What connector type does this camera use, and what compatible remote options are there?

It's a proprietary "T3" plug.
You need either a 60-T3 release or a T3 adapter (converts a mechanical release to electrical).

The Canon EOS-1N HS uses Canon’s proprietary T3 remote connector.
Compatible options mentioned are:
- Canon Remote Switch 60-T3
- A T3 adapter, which converts a mechanical cable release to the camera’s electrical remote connection
So if you want to build or adapt your own remote, search for T3 accessories rather than the newer EOS digital remote plugs. If you can’t find the bare plug, a practical approach is to buy a compatible 60-T3 style release or other T3 remote accessory and reuse the cable/connector for your DIY project.
