I have a Hama Compact Traveller tripod, and the plastic ring where the tripod head fits into the metal tube has broken. I’d like to replace that part rather than buy a whole new tripod. What is this part called, and is it usually possible to get a replacement?

It looks like a plastic ferrule. Best bet would be to contact Hama directly. It looks like a cheap enough part and small enough they might mail you one.

That part is commonly described as a plastic ferrule or insert/bushing. Replacement may be possible, but the most practical route is to contact Hama directly and ask about a spare for your specific tripod model. Since it’s a small, inexpensive component, the manufacturer may be able to supply or mail the part if they support spares for that model.
