Nikon D500 SnapBridge connects over Bluetooth but won’t transfer photos to iPhone

My Nikon D500 and iPhone were previously transferring photos via SnapBridge over Bluetooth without issues. The camera still shows as connected in SnapBridge, and the app can even display the camera battery level, but selected images no longer transfer over Bluetooth. Wi‑Fi transfer still works.

I’ve already removed the camera from the phone, removed the phone from the camera, and paired them again from scratch. The D500 has current firmware, and nothing on the camera has been changed.

What should I check to restore Bluetooth image transfer in SnapBridge?

The only thing that hasn't been suggested is to completely delete the SnapBridge app from your phone. Re-boot your phone and then re-install the app. It worked for me. Good luck

A Bluetooth connection alone doesn’t guarantee image transfer is enabled. Based on the suggestions shared, try these steps:

  1. Check SnapBridge transfer settings and make sure auto-transfer/image transfer over Bluetooth is enabled.
  2. Completely delete the SnapBridge app from your iPhone, restart the phone, then reinstall the app and pair the camera again.
  3. Clear Bluetooth conflicts: in iPhone Bluetooth settings, forget other paired devices if possible, temporarily disable nearby Bluetooth accessories (headphones, speakers, etc.), then restart both the phone and the camera before reconnecting.
  4. Re-pair the D500 and iPhone from scratch after the reset.

Since Wi‑Fi transfer still works, the issue is likely with SnapBridge settings, the app state on the phone, or Bluetooth interference rather than the camera hardware itself.
