The main age-related concern is the battery: lithium-ion batteries can lose some capacity over time even when unused. In practice, if the camera arrived as new in sealed packaging and the battery was separately packed, it is likely fine. It’s still worth checking real-world battery life after charging.

Another thing to check is firmware. A camera that has been boxed for a long time may have an early firmware version installed, so look up the latest firmware from Canon and update if needed.

Beyond that, the important question is whether the camera is truly new and fully functional. If all functions work properly and the price was appropriate for an older-in-stock model, the older import date by itself is not a problem.
