I’m trying to use mirror-up shooting on a Nikon D7000 with a wireless remote, but I can’t get it to work. What settings do I need to enable, and is there a way to trigger mirror-up remotely?

Pretty sure it's not possible with the wireless remote. You can set custom function D11 to ON. D11 is the Exposure Delay Mode, which will flip the mirror up then wait a second and then trigger the shutter.
With this turned on, your wireless remote will work in remote mode and you'll get a 1 second mirror up delay.

Yes. On the D7000, mirror-up with a wireless remote is done through the camera’s remote-control settings rather than the normal release modes.
Set the release mode dial to the remote setting, then open the Shooting Menu and find Remote control mode. Choose Remote mirror-up. In this mode, the first press on the remote raises the mirror, and the second press fires the shutter and lowers the mirror.
If you want a simpler one-press option, you can also use Exposure Delay Mode (custom setting d11). With that enabled, the mirror flips up and the camera waits about 1 second before taking the shot, which can reduce vibration while still working with the remote.
The other remote options are Quick response and 2 second delay, but for true remote mirror-up you need Remote mirror-up selected.
