I'm using a Canon EOS 1100D and want to shoot in M (Manual) mode. How do I manually change the shutter speed and ISO on this camera?

Shutter speed - "dial" button (cog wheel-check manual page 18 for position if not sure) just next to shutter(manual page 97)
ISO speed - press up arrow and navigate either with arrows to sides or with "dial" (manual page 77)

Generated from our catalog & community — verify before relying on it.
On the Canon EOS 1100D in M mode:
- Shutter speed: turn the main dial/cog wheel next to the shutter button. This adjusts the shutter speed directly while you’re in Manual mode.
- ISO: press the up arrow / ISO button on the rear controls, then use the arrow keys or the main dial to choose the ISO value.
If you’re unsure where the controls are, the camera manual diagrams can help identify the dial and button locations.
As a starting point, one community reply mentioned using around 1/125 sec in daylight and adjusting from there depending on the result. Your ideal settings will vary with light and subject movement.
