How do I reset the file numbering on a Fujifilm X-T10?

On my Fujifilm X-T10, the image file numbers are already quite high. Formatting the card or switching to another card does not reset the numbering. How can I make the next photo start again at DSCF0001.JPG/RAF?

You have to change the SETUP > SAVE DATA SET-UP > FRAME NO. menu setting from CONTINUOUS to RENEW. If it's set to RENEW, then the numbering will reset to 0001 when you format the card or use a new one.
See: http://fujifilm-dsc.com/en/manual/x-t10/menu_setup/save_data_set-up/index.html

Generated from our catalog & community — verify before relying on it.
On the X-T10, file numbering is controlled by the FRAME NO. setting.
Go to: SETUP → SAVE DATA SET-UP → FRAME NO.
Change it from CONTINUOUS to RENEW.
With RENEW selected, the camera will restart numbering at 0001 when you format the card or insert a new card. If it remains on CONTINUOUS, the camera keeps incrementing the number instead of resetting it.
So the usual process is:
- Set FRAME NO. to RENEW
- Format the card (or use a new one)
- The next image should begin again at DSCF0001
