The rear screen on my Nikon D3300 goes blank too quickly while I’m reviewing settings. Is there a menu option to adjust how long the camera stays on before the display turns off?

That is the Auto Off timer menu, in the Setup menu.
It is page 245 in the D3300 REFERENCE MANUAL.
The Reference manual is a more complete manual, MUCH larger than the User Manual. Available free from http://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/products/21/D3300.html and recommended.

Yes. On the Nikon D3300, this is controlled by the Auto Off Timers setting in the Setup menu. You can change the timeout so the camera/display stays active longer before turning off.
If you need the exact steps, check the D3300 Reference Manual rather than the shorter user manual; the Auto Off timer setting is listed there.
