How can I preview Nikon D40 photos on a laptop without removing the memory card?

I’ll be helping a friend shoot a large number of product photos with a Nikon D40, and I want to view the images on a laptop screen as we shoot without taking the card out each time. Ideally I’d like a wireless way to transfer or preview the photos. Is that possible with this camera?

Yes—one simple wireless option mentioned is an Eye‑Fi wireless SD card. It can send images from the camera’s memory card to a computer, which is useful for reviewing product shots on a larger screen without repeatedly removing the card.
The main thing to check is compatibility: the Nikon D40 uses SD cards, so a wireless SD solution is the right type of accessory to look into. If your goal is review rather than full live tethered shooting control, a wireless memory card can be a practical approach.
