How can I flag multiple selected photos in Lightroom?

In Lightroom, when I select several thumbnails in the filmstrip and press P, only the active photo gets flagged. Is there a way to apply a flag to all selected photos at once, especially when working from the Develop module?

You can always right click after selecting the photos and flagging them that way. I don't know of a shortcut unfortunately.

Yes. In Lightroom, flags are typically applied to multiple images from the Library view rather than directly from a normal single-image Develop view.
A couple of ways mentioned:
- Right-click the selected photos and use the flagging option from the context menu.
- Or switch to Library and use a multi-image view so all selected photos are active together. One workflow shared was:
- Select the photos in the filmstrip
- Press E (Library Loupe)
- Press P to flag them
- Press D to return to Develop
Another answer notes using the Grid/Survey-style multi-photo view in Library, where pressing P or X can affect the selected images together.
So if pressing P in Develop only flags the current image, move temporarily to Library or use the right-click menu to apply the flag to all selected photos.
