I want to warm up or cool down an image in Photoshop Elements. Is there a simple way to change white balance or color temperature, especially if I'm editing a JPEG rather than a raw file?

There is a walkthrough of the camera raw white balance feature on the adobe web site.

In Photoshop Elements, the simplest options depend on your file type:
- For raw files: use the Camera Raw white balance controls. Adobe provides a walkthrough for using the white balance feature there, and it’s the closest thing to a direct color temperature adjustment.
- For JPEGs: try Enhance > Color > Color Cast. Elements doesn’t give you a temperature slider in this tool, so you’ll need to use the Eyedropper and adjust by trial and error until the image looks neutral or warmer/cooler as desired.
So, yes—there is a simple way, but in Elements it’s usually either Camera Raw white balance for raw images or Color Cast correction for JPEGs rather than a dedicated temperature slider in every workflow.
